Are you living your life with intention and passion? Are you feeling gratitude and zest for each day as you open your eyes? Sometimes it is most definitely difficult to see our possibilities with everyday distractions, stressors, and a huge TTD list.
For many Christians, Lent is a time when people take inventory of their lives and decide to rid themselves of distractions which prevent them from becoming closer to God. Whether or not you subscribe to Christian beliefs, spring is a time for renewal and a great opportunity to look at what you can do to become more mindful of what truly matters in your life.
In order to make accomplishments, you don’t have to make huge changes in order to obtain meaningful benefits. Small gestures can help to bring lasting and meaningful direction if they are done consistently and with discipline. The following suggestions can be a starting point for a new perspective on life.
-A day free of judgment (avoid judgment of yourself and others).
-Every night write in a journal three things for which you are thankful.
-Spend 5 minutes a day in quiet time or meditation.
-Read a book which is spiritual or inspirational.
-Do a good deed for another person each day.
-Volunteer to help others in need.
